What is CAG?
Central Auction Group, or CAG, is the easiest way to buy and sell used and salvaged industrial equipment and vehicles. All you need to do is follow the steps below.
No Cost Buyer or Seller Registration
Registering for Central Auction Group is simple. Simply visit our Registration page or contact us by phone or email us at support@www.centralauctiongroup.com at anytime for help.
NOTE: You do not have to register to browse our listings. You will need to register to bid on or sell an item.
Make Buying & Selling Simple
If you don’t need assistance registering, your personal CAG Account Manger will contact you to approve your registration process and answer any questions you may have. Once your registration is approved, you can starting buying and selling or task your consultant to do all the work on your behalf at no cost to you.

Buying industrial equipment and vehicles is easy with CAG. Here’s how it works:
1. Register as a Buyer.
In order to bid on an item buyers must create a free account for immediate approval by Central Auction Group before you are authorized to participate in auctions and bid on items. Creating an account allows you to add items to your watch list, edit preferences, post your own items, and place bids. Most importantly, it enables us to proactively work for you on items that come up for bid that you may be interested in both now and in the future.
2. Browse Auctions and Find Items.
You can see all auctions in progress by visiting our Auctions page. Once you locate items of interest, you can start bidding or add them to your watch list. Your watch list is accessible through your “My Profile” section once you have registered and logged into Central Auction Group.
3. Place a Bid.
Central Auction Group Items can be won in four different ways:
- Make an Offer allows you to send an offer to the seller on their material. If the offer is accepted, you will be contacted directly and the auction will be closed to additional bids.
- Bid Exactly allows you to place a one-time bid of a definite amount. You will receive an email and/or phone call if another user outbids you for that item. At that time, you can log back into the website and choose to enter a higher bid. E-mail notifications will not be sent during the last hour of the auction.
- Auto Bid gives Central Auction Group permission to automatically increase your bid when someone outbids you, up to your maximum bid amount. Auto Bid saves you time and effort by doing the bidding for you.
Incremental Bid Amounts:

- Buy it Now allows you to purchase the auctioned item for a predetermined set price. Not all listings will have Buy it Now options, but if available, it does it offer an immediate purchase of the listed item.
4. Send Payment and Arrange Shipping.
At the close of a listing, the highest bidder will be invoiced by Central Auction Group. We will notify the buyer when payment has been received and the item is ready to be released. Currently, Central Auction Group only accepts Wire Transfer, Cashiers Check, or Company Check. If payment is made by Company Check, the items will not be released for 10 business days.
*Please note that these terms will be dictated by the seller and listed on the bid details page. All bidding options may not be available.
1. Register as a Seller.
In order to sell an item on CAG you will be asked to create a free Seller Account before being authorized to post items. Registration is free, takes about a minute, and creating an account allows you to post items and edit preferences. Once a new registration is approved, you are able to login and start posting items.
You are also welcome to call us at (484) 593-2465 for a customized selling experience where we can register you and handle the entire auction end-to-end onn your behalf with NO listing fees.
2. Sell an Item.
Once you have logged into your account, you are ready to create your first auction. New listings can be created by clicking on the post new item link in the upper right corner of the site.
Some of the customization options available to sellers are:
- Choose how you would like to sell your item: Buy It Now, Bid Live, or Make An Offer
- Add a Buy It Now feature to any Auction (available to you no matter how you choose to sell your item)
- Set a reserve price
- Set pickup and shipping options
- Set payment terms and options
- Require optional inspections
- ….and more!
Sellers can then enter item details and upload pictures directly onto the website. After submitting your listings your dedicated account manager will review your listing and send you a confirmation email when the listing is approved and posted.

3. Get Paid.
At the close of an auction you, along with the highest bidder, will receive an email that the auction has closed and the high bid amount. Central Auction Group will collect payment from the Buyer and notify you when payment has been received to arrange release of the item. Once you have released the item to the Buyer, Central Auction Group will release payment to the you via the electronic transfer of your choice.
